Chinese-American Chemical Society (CACS) is a non-profit, non-political organization.
It is the only Chinese professional organization in the country that is officially recognized
by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society.
Membership is open to professionals and students in chemistry, chemical engineering,
and related fields, and to individuals and corporations supporting the objectives of CACS.
Currently, CACS has 5 regional chapters in North America.
Southwest includes Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Currently, most of members of southwest CACS are from Texas.
The southwest area is the center of American energy industry and has the largest population of Chinese American chemists and chemical engineers in oil & gas industry.
